  • Photo and video material: taken during activities, events, or entertainment programs (with permission)
  • Security data: camera images, facial recognition for access to the swimming pool, license plate registration for barrier access
  • Children's data: only with the permission of parents/guardians

3. What do we use your data for?

We use your personal data for:

  • Processing reservations and payments via Booking Experts
  • Sending reservation confirmations and practical information
  • Sending newsletters via Booking Experts (only after registration)
  • Offering and improving our services, website, and app
  • Marketing purposes via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google Analytics
  • Access to facilities:
    • Facial recognition for the swimming pool
    • License plate registration for the barrier
  • Security and surveillance through camera surveillance
  • Promotional purposes (photos and videos), only with permission

4. Affiliate partners

We work with affiliate partners who refer guests to our website. When you book through such a partner, basic data may be shared to register the reservation. These parties are responsible for their own privacy policies.

5. How long do we retain your data?

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary:

  • Reservation data: up to a maximum of 7 years (legal retention obligation)
  • Camera images: up to 4 weeks, unless an incident occurs
  • Photos/videos: as long as relevant for promotional purposes, unless you object
  • Access registration (facial recognition/license plate): as short as possible, only during your stay

6. With whom do we share your data?

We only share personal data with third parties if this is necessary for our services, such as:

  • Booking Experts (reservation and newsletter system)
  • IT and hosting providers (website, app)
  • Marketing and analytics parties (Facebook, Google, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Payment service providers and administrative partners
  • Regulators or authorities if required by law

We have entered into processing agreements with all these parties to protect your data.

7. Cookies and tracking

Our website and app use cookies and tracking technologies from, among others, Facebook and Google Analytics. This allows us to measure the use of our services and to advertise in a targeted manner. Where necessary, we ask for your consent via our cookie banner.

8. Photos and videos

Photos and videos may be taken during events and entertainment programs. If children are recognizable in the images, we always ask for permission from their parents/guardians in advance. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

9. Facial recognition

Voluntary choice

The use of facial recognition is entirely voluntary. You can always opt for an alternative; please report this to the reception desk.

Withdrawing consent

Your consent can be withdrawn at any time by reporting this to the reception desk or by emailing jos@zandstuve.nl. You will then receive an alternative (QR code) and a confirmation by email.

Storage and deletion

Only encrypted templates (non-traceable facial features) are stored, linked to your name and reservation number. All data is automatically deleted the night after your reservation ends.

Purpose of use

Facial recognition is used exclusively for convenience and quick registration. It is never mandatory.

Security and processing

We work with EasySecure for facial recognition. All data is stored in the Netherlands in an ISO-certified environment with high security standards.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • View, correct, or have your data deleted
  • Withdraw your consent for data processing (e.g., photos/videos or newsletter)
  • Object to processing or tracking
  • Transfer your data to another party

11. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. These measures include encryption, secure systems, and restricted access.

12. Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, please contact us at jos@zandstuve.nl. If we are unable to resolve the issue, you can submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

13. Changes

We reserve the right to change this privacy statement. The most current version can always be found on our website and in our app.
